Moorei cichlids are a family of cichlid fish (cichlids). The body shape is similar to common cichlids that have oval and wide body. 9 Cm or 3.6 inch reach the length. The life span is quite long for a medium size cichlid or 18 years.
Now is the male color blue. The fish has nuchal hump, similar with Dolphin. That is why some people call it the dolphin.
The behavior is so aggressive, so is this fish not good for Community fish. You can attack and harass smaller fish.

How to care it:
Put it in the 55-gallon tank fish and facilitate it with water filter and aerator. You can water heater above all you live at subtropical country install. Your tank can keep warm the aerator. As a common cichlid, the Moorei need some hiding place. Decorate your tank with some hiding places such as Bogwood, PVC pipe, rock. The hiding place is a House for them. The tank can give you fine substrate in the bottom.

Make a harem with 5 to 7 women for a male. The best ways for breeding is, when a group of Moorei fish containing eight small Moorei. The females will keep the eggs at the mouth until 12 to 18 days or two weeks.
