Yellow tail Acei cichlids is a Mbuna from Lake Malawi. The body shape is oval and wide. 10-15 Cm or 4-6 inch reach the length. The life span is quite long for a medium size cichlid or 18 years.
In the meantime the male color is deep blue to purple and the back and caudal fin colour is yellow. The color of the male is brighter than the female.
The temperament of this fish is not aggressive, so is this fish not good for Community fish. In contrast to other Mbuna, the Acei sometimes go to the water surface.
How to care it:
Make the fish tank at least 40 gallon tanks and facilitate it with water filter, water heater and aerator. As a common cichlid, yellow tail Acei need some hiding place.
